I’ve fallen behind a bit this year with project life because, well you know, life getting in the way and all that! But I have a few different spreads in progress so I’m not worrying too much about being behind, and not creating weekly spreads helps as well.
Today’s spread is the last for the week I had off at the start of January. One of the things we did was go for a walk late one afternoon and we saw an amazing sunset. This photo I took of the tree and sunset reflected in a pool may turn out to be one of my favourite photos of the year. So I wanted to make sure I used this photo in this spread. And it ended up being the inspiration for the colours I used. Print Push Studio had just released some new journal cards that both matched the colours I wanted to use and also worked with the photos I was using.
My journaling for this day talked about what we did in the morning and then the afternoon. So I decided to use the AM and PM stamps from a past Kelly Purkey stamp set and overlapped the circles. As usual I printed out the text and then added the stamping afterwards.
To document the end of our time off I used the ‘Nope’ card from Push Print Studio, but I played around a little with scale to make it a bit smaller on the 3x4 card and recoloured the background grey. And the photo next to it was added into a free template that I picked up from Cathy Zielske. Then I added the ‘don’t loose heart’ stamp afterwards.
