Today I’m sharing another spread from my Build Album. As explained in this post this is album is dedicated to documenting our move to a new part of the country and all that it involves. This particular spread documents our first trip to go house hunting. I already covered some of the story in my week in the life album, as the trip fell in that week, but on this spread I've added more details about our house hunting.
Starting on the left hand page I created the 4x6 journal card with digital stamps from the Build Story Kit. Next I used a filler card from the Build kit and a screenshot of the house we were visiting. The bottom photo is a car selfie I took of us on the drive over (I’ve now made this a tradition for any trip over!).
I added an insert to the spread as I needed extra space. The first photo is another screen shot from when we were trying to find a new housing estate which did exist but wasn’t showing on maps yet. The next pocket is a journal card I made with a digital stamp, again from the Build kit. The final photo is a sort of window selfie of us waiting for the housing estate marketing suite to open.
On the reverse side of the insert I created a date card using the Thick Months digital brushes and underneath used some patterned paper as a filler card. The final pocket is the story of our first house viewing and our thoughts.
On the final page is a photo of us studying the local map and next to that I used journal card from Studio Calico. Under Itinerary it has said today/tomorrow which didn’t really work for me so I stamped Thu & Fri onto a small piece of scrap card, cut them out and glued them on to change it. Next I used a filler card and a photo of the street the house was on. I used some old thickers from Studio Calico to add #1 as this was my first house viewing where I was one of the buyers. Underneath is a 4x6 photo collage of photos of the house (sorry it’s blurred out but I wanted to respect the owners privacy).
