Today I’m sharing a project life spread from October. This was another week where I didn’t have that many photos as we’d not really done much or I hadn’t been able to take photos. So on the Sunday I made sure to take some on my walk into town. I’m glad I did as this autumn the trees have been beautiful as it’s not been too windy so they’ve kept their leaves for longer. I love this time of year so I’m happy to make these photos the focus of this spread.
There was a big story to tell this week but no photos to accompany it so I used a filler card and journaling to tell the story in the top pockets on the left hand page. I created the filler card using a digital version of the chipboard pieces from the Spark Story Kit and once printed added a small chipboard arrow to point to the journaling. The journaling card is plain text printed onto a card and then another chipboard piece added as a title.
The card underneath is actually two 3x4 cards stuck together (as I’d forgotten this was a 4x6 pocket!). To the photo on the left I added a digital stamp from Kellie Stamps ‘Summer of 2016’ set and coloured it to match the yellow of the filler card above. Next to it I created a journaling card using another stamp from the ‘Summer of 2016’ set and changed the sunshine to yellow and added some journaling.
On the right hand page I went big with a 6x8 photo as I loved the colours in this photo. I used the ‘love it’ stamp, also from the ‘Summer of 2016’ set, and added some journaling at the bottom. To finish it off I added a chipboard star that matched the yellow in the rest of the spread and echoed the star design on the first filler card.
