Today I’m sharing days 4-10 of my December Daily. You can read more about my approach to this project and the supplies I’ll be using in this previous post.
For day 4 I created a journalling card using the 'drinking' and 'eating' digital stamps that came with Ali Edwards December Daily class. I added a wooden ampersand and a sparkly gold enamel dot from my stash on the i of eating. I also used one of the free printables from LifeLovePaper.
Day 5 was a photo free day. It had been a busy week and my story for the day was about taking it easy and getting some rest. I used the wish list card from the Jasmine Jones kit to make my wish list for the weekend. In the 4x6 pocket I created a filler card by making my own patterned paper with the Jasmine Jones stamp set. I used some glittery letters I have in my stash to spell out ‘REST’ and typed out ‘let yourself rest’ using my typewriter onto some plain paper.
For day 6 I finally used a gold polaroid frame that I’ve been hoarding forever! I used it with a photo I took on a walk. I decided to keep the rest of the page simple and used this pink paper from the Ashley G kit that also tied in with the pink in the photo of us making jam. In the 4x6 pocket I used the back of the previous card 4x6 to add some journaling. To give it some interest I stamped ‘Bring on the moments’ from a past Story Kit onto a small piece of kraft card and layered it over a small piece of POW paper to give it some sparkle. Finally I used two stamps and stamped onto some more kraft paper to add titles to the two photos.
Day 7 was all about us getting our tree and decorating it. On the left hand page I used the tree paper from the Ashley G kit and I added a Christmas lights embellishment that I had in my stash. On the right hand page I created some more patterned paper using stamps from the December Daily class stamp set. The tag is removable and has my journaling for the day on the reverse. To finish off the tag off I used another gold letter from my stash. And finally on the number card I used some watercolour to colour the seven green.
Days 8 - 10 were pretty quiet as I was stuck at home with a cold. The left hand page covers both days 8 & 9 and I kept the page simple. I used the two number cards from the Ashley G kit, a photo and then one journal card for the two days which I finished off with a stamp from the Jasmine Jones stamp set.
On day 10 I created a flip out pocket. It was my husbands work’s Christmas Do so I used a gold A from my stash and added some sequins to the pocket before using my fuse tool to seal it shut. I then adhered the pocket to the main page protector and added my journaling for the day. The other story this day was that my husband had bought our sweet treats for Christmas. I used two photos of the treats in two of the bottom pockets and then in between made some more patterned paper using a stamp from Kellie Stamps ‘Joy’ set. In the top three 2x2 pockets I added more sequins and used the fuse tool again to seal them shut.
