Today I’m sharing days 18-24 of my December Daily. You can read more about my approach to this project and the supplies I’ve been using in this previous post.
For day 18 I focused on the presents I had bought for my husband. I used a 6x8 photo on the right hand side, trimmed to fit the pocket pages. I used one of the digital stamps from the December Daily class to create a journal card and then one of the 4x6 cards from the Jasmine Jones kit to make a list of his presents. I kept the embellishments simple. To the 4x6 card I added a piece of the silver ribbon and on the photo I used a stamped copper label and added an enamel dot.
Day 19 was about writing my Christmas cards that I had left until the last minute! I typed up my journaling and once printed I added a gold star that had come with my Christmas Cards. I used a filler card from the Jasmine Jones kit and used the December Daily class stamp set to add some stamping.
Day 20 was the day our organic food order arrived. The box included a Christmas card designed to be cut up and turned into vegetable Christmas decorations. I decided it would be fun to cut out the Brussel sprouts decoration and make it into an insert in my album. I made sure that I left part of the card so I could punch holes in it. I also punched a hole in the top and added some ribbon. For the rest of the page I used typed journaling and added a stamp once printed. I made a filler card with some card in my stash, added a gold letter F and stamped a red label.
I kept days 21 and 22 simple. It was really gloomy on the Monday so I put the Christmas lights earlier to cheer the place up. I took a photo of our decorative light and attached the ‘shine bright’ chipboard tab from the Spark Story kit. I covered the back with some POW paper so it wasn’t plain chipboard. I used a digital stamp from the December Daily class and added a few lines of journaling. On day 22 I was cooking a meal in advance for a get together the next day. I made another journal card using more stamps from the December Daily class and added a gold enamel dot to add a bit of sparkle. The photo I took with the timer on my iPhone. To embellish it I added a white and gold dotted star and stamped a strip of kraft paper.
Day 23 we had friends over. I wasn’t sure they’d like their photos taken so I used a bokeh photo of our Christmas tree. I used a card from the Jasmine Jones kit to add journaling and the ‘shine on’ chipboard embellishment as it tied in with us putting on all the Christmas lights, and then some, to make our apartment extra festive.
I used the ‘Merry Christmas’ card to create an insert between the two days. On the reverse I used a photo of me working on my December Daily album almost the second I finished work for the day! I used a chipboard piece to create a tab and on the reverse used another semi-circle chipboard piece, both from past story kits.
For the rest of day 24 I included a photo of the afternoon sun shining into our living room and created a journalling card using a stamp from Kellie Stamps ‘Magic’ set and under it a piece of washi tape that came in the Cheer Story kit.
Thanks for reading and I hope you all had a good holidays.
