I had a productive Saturday and finished off a few PL spreads that I had started but not quite finished from last year. This one is from a weekend at the start of November when we visited Cambridge.
One of the things I love about working on the smaller 6 x 8 size is that I feel I can experiment more. In November I took Studio Calico’s Paint.Plan.Play class run by Ashley Goldberg which is as an art class for scrapbookers. One of the lessons focused on mark making and I played around with making marks using ultramarine drawing ink. I cut 2x2 squares from two of the trial sheets to use in this spread as the colours matched the photo of the cobbled street in Cambridge. I cut another square from dark blue card in my stash and a piece of gold card that I had left over which I’d embossed using a letterpress plate for another spread.
Two of the PL cards on the left page are from the Studio Calico Poet Society Project Life kit and the other I made using a Studio Calico ‘Currents’ stamp designed by Life.Love.Paper that I picked up the other year. I used the ‘Here & Now’ stamp from Kellie Stamps on the PL card that documents our first frost. To add text to I used a alphabet roller stamp that came with a past Studio Calico Project Life kit.
