I unintentionally carried on the blue theme from the spread before as the colours suited the photos. Again I kept this spread pretty simple.
We had to make a last minute trip to Southport which is about 6 hours drive away. I took a shot of the motorway in the fog as that’s all we really saw on the very long, boring drive! I used the photo on a 4 x 6 card and added stamping and some typing. On the plus side the trip did give us a chance to visit the bottled beer bar in Southport and try some of the local beers. I took a photo of one of the bottles we chose and added a ‘Yes Please’ label. I’d originally had another little label on the blue watercolour design card but changed it for this Jan wood veneer that came in the Far Far Away Project Life kit from Studio Calico.
The rest of the week was just everyday life. My husband collects UK coins and had bought a few that had been missing from his collection. I always tease him and call him geeky so the Proud Geek stamp from Kellie’s Stamps Epic Set was perfect for the photo of him checking out the latest additions to his collection.
The photo of shoes was to document my excitement and then disappointment about some shoes I'd ordered. I have big feet so it’s really hard to get shoes that fit! The shoes were long enough but way too wide so had to go back.
On the Saturday I was back in London for a meet-up and popped into the Nordic Bakery for one of their Cinnamon Buns and a coffee. I took a photo for Instagram and took a screen shot of the post to document both my visit and also record the fact that I'm using Instagram more this year.
Supplies: Studio Calico Walden Project Life Kit (sold out), Studio Calico Far Far Away Kit, Kellie's Stamps Epic Set. I highly recommend the Epic Stamp set and it’s now back in stock. The coffee, food and geek stamps sold it to me but whole set is very versatile and I’ve already got my money’s worth out of it.
