This was one of those weeks when lots of little different things happened.
The first card is my main journalling for the week. The ‘it will be okay’ wood veneer is to document all the tech problems we’d been having. It felt like we had a gremlin causing havoc with our computers, phones and even my analogue typewriter played up at one point. My old laptop really was too old and so I decided it was time to buy a new one and I changed form a PC to a Mac. It’s so nice to be able to turn on my laptop and start working straightaway.
I got two lots of happy mail this week - my Studio Calico kit and the stamps I’d ordered from Kelly Purkey. I often only get my Project Life kit from Studio Calico but this month I’d bought the Mini-Details class kit and stocked up on card and some inks. I loved the neutral colours of the various bits in my parcel so took a quick photo. And I liked the stamping Kelly had added to the envelope so cut that up and added it to the spread.
On the right hand side is an instax of the ‘burning’ we went to. A friend of ours has designed a seating area in his garden with a brazier in the middle. He holds garden parties that he calls burnings where we spend the evening socialising, eating & drinking. A Christmas tree or two gets added at some point in the evening and the results can be quite spectacular, but best viewed from a safe distance!
The others photos on the right hand page are a photo of some pages I made for my mini-details album. I used a circle punch to cut the photo to fit the circle on the PL card. The other photo is a screenshot of the solar eclipse. It was too cloudy in London to see anything, although the day did get noticeably darker. I kept the pocket simple and added stamping to one of Studio Calcio's 'watching' color theory labels.
