Happy weekend and happy (inter)national scrapbook day! I know officially national scrapbook day is tomorrow but I’m fully booked tomorrow so I’m sneaking in some creating today.
To celebrate (Inter)national scrapbook day Kellie from Give a Girl a Blog and her Kellie Stamps design team are having a blog hop and challenging you to try some of the stamp techniques they’re sharing. I was inspired by Jen from The Paper Process using stamps to create patterns and Pepper from Pepper Creations combination of stamping and watercolour. The photo above are the four different patterns I created based on their inspiration:
- Foodie pattern - I used the Planner Stamp set from Clearly Kelly to create a pattern using the 'knife & fork' stamp and the 'PM' stamp on some grid paper. Using the grid paper added some extra detail to the pattern and also made it much easier to stamp straight! I can see myself using this patterned paper on a PL card to document an evening meal out.
- But first coffee - the ‘but first coffee’ is still one of my favourite stamps from Kellie Stamps Epic set. I stamped it repeatedly onto a tag which I think might get used in a future mini album.
- Pie charts - Last year I took the Studio Calico Paint-plan-play class which included a mini kit and stamp set designed by Ashley Goldberg. I love these stamps as they’re great for building patterns. This pattern is just the two piechart stamps repeatedly stamped over the page.
- Explore - Explore is my One Little Word this year. I ordered a custom stamp from Kellie Stamps at the end of last year. Here I used it to build a pattern then used watercolours to colour in the text boxes. I think when I use it I will write in the boxes or maybe stamp in them. I like the idea of listing lots of different things to explore in each of the text boxes.
If you're looking for some stamping inspiration definitely check out the blog hope via Jen or Pepper's blogs.
Hope you all have a good weekend and have fun tomorrow creating lots of things!
