This wasn't the best of weeks but thankfully there was good mixed in with the bad. We started the week off planting some of our vegetable plants on our allotment. I used a plain card with a photo and stamping to document that along with the ‘to be continued’ card.
Next are two cards to record me taking part on a Day in the Life. I wasn’t sure if it was a great idea to do on my first day back in the office after a week off plus with some worrying family news on my mind. But it turned out to be a great idea as it gave me something positive to focus on and I really enjoyed it. I shared photo collages on Instagram throughout the day of the photos I'd taken (so not to drive people made with too many photos) and I used my early evening collage in this spread. I created the hashtag paper myself using a three different hashtag stamps from Kellie stamps. And I used the last of my D-A-D cards with some white alphas to spell out the #DITL hashtag.
On the right hand page I documented a wedding we were invited to but that involved some unnecessary drama, which we could have done without after the week we’d had! But with the low points there were high points. In the first pocket I used a Kraft envelope and inside that I added two inserts with some hidden journalling. I used a tag to document the drama and used a stamp from Kellie Stamps soon to be released Coffee, as it seemed appropriate given the situation! The other insert was to document the good parts of the day and includes a picture from the wedding. I used a yellow heart from the Galileo Studio Calico Project Life kit, plus added a few of the confetti pieces I’d picked up at the wedding.
Next to that I included a photo of the accessories I wore with my outfit. It’s pretty rare for me to get dressed up so this was worth documenting! I kept it simple and added the ‘Love’ stamp on a piece of scrap card in my stash. And in the 4x6 pocket I used the ‘Not my day’ transparency that I have been hoarding forever. I used a piece of card under it to make the white writing stand out and tie it in with the rest of the spread.
So do you include the bad as well as the good in your project life?
