I decided to keep this spread super simple. I knew that I wanted to use the ‘More & Less’ project life card and the ‘WTF what the face’ stamp from Kellies Stamps new ‘On Fleek’ set. Both have bold simple typefaces so that influenced the rest of the spread.
On the left side I used a ‘Currents’ project life cards designed by Life.Love.Paper for Studio Calico a few years ago. I added notes about my slight obsession that weekend with looking into fauxdoris! Next to that is a photo of the peas on our allotment which I photographed at various stages as they’re doing so well, which is a result as last years crop were a disaster! I added a label from my stash and used a simple outline stamp to match the typeface on the ‘Less’ project life card.
I also included a photo of my new stamp storage system and I stamped direct onto the photo. The final pocket on this side documents my new glasses fail. I’ve not had to wear glasses before and I wasn’t sure what frames would suit me. I got two pairs and one set were great but the other were an epic fail and got returned and replaced! I layered the selfies of me looking grumpy about it on a 3x3 card from the messy box and added this great checklist stamp from a set by Clearly Kelly.
On the right hand page I used the ‘More & Less’ project life card that was originally a 4x6 card that I cut into two 3x4 cards. I’d had a bad back most of the week and was really struggling with it so I used the less card to document that part of the week. I took a selfie when I was lying flat on the sofa trying to get comfortable and the ‘WTF why the face’ stamp was perfect to use with it! I added the photo and the stamp to this ‘meh’ card from Studio Calico as I liked the way the typefaces work together. I used the ‘More’ card to document the good parts of the week along with the shot I took at the local food market, which I added to a plain card along with some stamping.
