Today’s project life spread is from the start of July. In the UK we were experiencing a heatwave and summer felt like it was in full swing! The sun helped our blackcurrant bushes ripen so we started to experience our first glut of the growing season which I documented by including a photo of the fruit smoothies I’d been making for breakfast. On the photo I added stamping and a little raw chipboard arrow. Next to it I used a project life card from Studio Calico’s Pop Art Project Life kit to add some journalling. Below that I decided to use the back of the project life card and paperclip from my previous spread. I just added a 3x3 card with some journalling and used the same paperclip to attach it. Next to that is a photo I took of my shadow while we were out on a walk, which I added stamping to and an enamel dot.
The righthand page documents a long walk we took that week. It was beautiful day and we walked past lots of purple fields full of borage and I included this 4x6 photo of one of the views from the day. I kept the embellishments simple adding some stamping and white chipboard piece. Above I used another journalling card from the Pop Art kit. I added some typewriting on a strip of paper to add that I managed to get stung by a bee (lesson learned to keep much further back from beehives in the future!). To the left is a photo I took while we were relaxing with a few beers after the walk. To tie the photo in with the rest of the spread I used a die cut from a previous Studio Calico kit and added a heart chipboard piece and another enamel dot.
