Today’s project life spread documents a day trip we took to Southwold. The starting point for the spread was a wooden postcard that I’d picked up there, which I wanted to include as it shows two things that are quintessentially Southwold; Adnams Brewery and the Lighthouse. As I work in 6x8 format I had to make my own page protector using the fuse tool to make a page that would fit the 4x6 portrait postcard. I’d thought about making square pockets around the 4x6 pocket but thought that might be too fiddly so went with rectangles instead, plus a rectangle gave me more space to journal!
So on the left hand side, in the bottom rectangle pocket, I used a piece of white card stock and added journalling with my typewriter. To add some colour I used a small scrap of patterned paper and part of a label which I stamped using Kellie Stamps new ‘What?’ set. In the vertical rectangle pocket I used two small photos from the day and added another little scrap of patterned paper and added another label. The label was made using a stamp from a previous Kellie Stamps set and the ‘weekend’ stamp is another from the ‘What?’ set.
On the right hand page I kept things really simple. I used two project life cards that complemented the colours in the spread. To the photos I added another two labels I stamped using the label stamp I mentioned before, and then used more stamps from the ‘What?’ set.
