Today I’m sharing the last set of pages from my Week in the Life album which are Saturday and Sunday. I’m a mixture of glad to have the album finished but also a little sad to see the project end. As I have used roughly the same approach to embellishing throughout the album I’ll only mention things that are different and instead focus on the photos of the pages:
The 4x6 photo is of a grasshopper we rescued. It was a little hard to see it between the plants so I added a wooden arrow to make it more obvious!
I used a Studio Calico Color Theory die-cut label on the photo of us in lying bed. There was a lot of extra label around the actual words so I decided to cut most of it away. But to add some extra detail I first used a label stamp to add a label border around the ‘sweet dreams’. Then I cut it out following the outline of the stamp.
On my final page I did something different to my other 6x8 end of day pages. I thought about using a quote but decided instead to use the free digital file that Ali had posted on her blog before the #WITL week had started. I thought the sentiment ‘My story matters’ was a nice way to end things. To add a bit more detail I added a die cut banner I had in my stash and then layered two chipboard stars on top of each other.
And that’s a wrap for my Week in the Life album! I hope you have enjoyed looking through my pages. If you’ve missed any my previous posts are all linked at the bottom of this post. I plan to write a post on what I learned and what I’d change next time. In the meantime if you have any questions please let me know.
