When I looked at my photos for this week I realised I had mainly food shots so I decided to go with it and use that as the main theme of this spread! I also went hybrid on this spread and the project life cards are all printed except for one that I stamped. I’ve been thinking of using more digital items in my Project Life as there are so many excellent options out there. I’m still finding my way with hybrid crafting and I’m really looking forward to learning more in the Digi Time class starting on Studio Calico today.
Anyway back to the spread. Starting on the left hand side this documents an evening out in London. We were in the East of London walking along some of the canals there. The photo is of Andy walking ahead of me on the canal path and the carpet of green duck weed floating on the water that seems to a permeant feature. Throughout the spread I used the ‘New Adventures’ stamp set from Kelly Purkey and used one on this photo. I stamped it onto some scrap card and cut it out and stapled it down. Next to that is a digital project life card from Studio Calico and used it to add journalling about what happened in the week. Underneath is a 4x6 pocket but I treated it as a two 3x4 and used a 3x4 photo of the meal we had that evening. It was tasty but we ate way too much! Again I used one of the stamps from the ‘New Adventures’ set and stapled it on. To the left I made some patterned paper using the plus sign stamp from Ali Edwards ‘Build’ Story Stamp and then added the business card from the restaurant.
On the right hand side I used a photo of the coffee and cake we had when we were out on the Saturday. Next to it I created my own filler card using one of the digital cards from ‘Build’ digital kit by adding the words coffee and cake in photoshop. Underneath is another digital journal card from last months Studio Calico’s Project Life add-on kits. Once it was printed I added journalling and as my journalling was about the photos to the left and right I used a triangle stamp to point to which photo I was referring to. On the final photo I used another stamp from the ‘New Adventures’ set.
