I wasn’t sure if I would create a 2015 review but as it had been a good year I thought I couldn’t not do one! So today I’m sharing my final spread from my 2015 Project Life album.
My starting point was to create a photo collage of photos that represent highlights from each month in 2015. I don’t have a 6x8 photo collage template so I put this together using two 4x6 templates instead with a bit of editing. I then picked my photos and clipped them into the template. Once it was printed I used some alpha stickers from my stash to add the letter of the month to each photo.
I then made a title card using a piece of grey cardstock. I used a silk screen to add pattern but masked off the area where I planned to add the number stickers and the stories chipboard. It didn’t completely work as the mask meant the silkscreen wasn’t 100% flat to the cardstock and some of the pattern came out a little splodgy. But I decided to embrace the imperfection and leave it as it was!
Underneath I used one of the 3x4 journaling cards from Ali Edwards Old & New Story Kit. I edited the card to make it 4x6 and then added some text which correspondences with the photo collage.
Finally I used a gridded vellum envelope to include a written review of my year. To add a little interest I added a digital version of a chipboard piece from the Old & New Story kit to the flap. The design originally had ‘past and present’ but I edited the ‘present’ part out and replaced it with ‘memories’ since the whole spread is about looking back over the past year’s memories. I then printed it and cut it out with a circle die.
