Today I’m sharing days 28-31 of my December Daily. You can read more about my approach to this project and the supplies I’ll be using in this previous post.
Day 28 wasn’t an easy day so I kept the page simple and used no photos. I used another envelope for some hidden journalling about the tough part of the day and added a stamp to the flap. There were also some very good memories from the day so I recorded those on a separate journal card and used the ‘rare & treasured’ chipboard piece from a previous Studio Calico kit. In the 4x6 pocket I used a card from the Cheer Story Kit that I changed from a 3x4 card to 4x6 card and changed to black & white.
Day 29 was much more positive and fun day for us. Plus it was a beautiful sunny day so that cheered both of us up. I took a car selfie on the way to Norfolk to look at the house we’re still in the process of buying. The photo has a sun glare across it but I see it as a reminder of the sunny day so used the photo anyway. In the small 2x2 pockets I used some small photos, patterned acetate and cut the numbered card for the day down to 2x2. I also used some gold silhouette sticker material and stamped it with the ‘Shine On’ stamp from the Spark kit. I used Stazon Ink as the material isn’t porous and I really like how it turned out.
My journaling for the day is on the back of the page. I made a 4x6 journaling card and added a digital stamp from the Cheer Story Kit. As before I used photos and patterned acetate in the pockets plus made some patterned paper for one pocket using the ‘counting down the days’ stamp from the December Daily class stamp set.
Day 30 was a quiet day and I worked on my December Daily and got my haircut. I used a photo of me working on my album and made a plain journaling card that I added a grey die cut label to once printed. The filler card is from Studio Calico’s Arendal digital Documenter Kit. I recoloured it from pink to back and white and added a sparkly enamel dot in the middle.
And finally for day 31 I ended on a double page. This was one of the few pages that I had set up in advance. I knew I wanted to use the ‘together’ card from the Jasmine Jones kit and also the gold letters from a previous A Beautiful Mess kit. On the left hand side I created a journaling card in Photoshop then added a aqua star and used a sparkly star enamel dot on top. The ‘out with, in with’ card is another digital card from Studio Calico. Once it was printed I used some number stamps from my stash to add the old and new year. The final pocket on the left had page is a photo from the evening.
And that’s a wrap for my December Daily for the year. Thank you so much for reading.
