This spread sort of surprised me as the idea I started out with morphed into something completely different. Back in September we had our 4th Wedding Anniversary and we took an overnight trip to the coast as a treat. The weather on the first day was lovely but the second day it poured down. ALL. DAY. LONG.
With the day being such a wash out I thought I’d use the gray day and umbrella stamps from Kelly Purkey’s 'Work in Progress' kit. I hadn’t thought of using the kit for the whole spread but it turned out the colours went really well with the colours in my photos so I went with it.
The title card is a 4x6 card from the kit with ‘Mini’ spelt out in black alphas and the ‘getaway’ stamp is an older Clearly Kelly stamp set.
I used the ampersand filler card from the kit and added a white number 4 alpha and stamped onto a scrap of white card that I cut out to add the ‘together’.
The Gray Day filler card I created using a card from the kit. Then I stamped and punched out the ‘Gray Day’ and stuck that in place before using another stamp below it.
I kept my journaling really simple and just stamped ‘September’ in the date box of my journaling card. And on the photo I added one of the labels from the kit trimmed down to make a little embellishment.
