I’ve been wanting to document this weekend for a few months. I knew I’d use the 'Hoppy Hour' stamp set that Kelly Purkey released in the early summer (actually I ordered the stamp while sat in the garden at one of these beer festivals!). Then when I got my 'Around Town' kit the other week I though the two stamps sets would work well together.
We started our beer weekend on the Friday trying some of the pubs in Norwich which were taking part in the City of Ale week. The next day we went to a local beer festival and returned the next day with some friends who’d come to visit.
I started the spread planning to stamp onto scraps of card to cut out and add to my journaling cards. But that looked a bit plainer than I wanted so I decided to use some of the cards from the Around Town kit to add a bit more interest. So after cutting out each stamped image I added it to the patterned card and cut it out again with a border.
I only used two filler cards for this spread as I had quite a lot of journaling. I’d planned to add ‘City of Ale’ with black alphas straight onto this card but I didn’t have any black skinny alpha’s left in my stash. So I decided to use white alphas but layer them over another piece of card from the kit, so that they stood out. I then added the pint glass stamp and stamped the geotag, cut it out and then layered it over a circle, again made from one of the cards in the kit.
Supplies: Hoppy Hour Stamp Set and Around Town kit from Kelly Purkey (sadly both are no longer available).
