Today I’m excited to be sharing my first full spread of 2016! As I mentioned in my previous blog post I’m taking a more relaxed approach to the order I complete my project life spreads this year. I won’t worry about completing them in chronological order, so this spread is from mid January. This was a hard week, with a family funeral and lots of emotions to process, but there was also a lot of heart and the Heart Story Kit was perfect to help me document this.
Starting on the left page I used a photo of a meal out with a friend and added a piece of kraft paper that I stamped with a ‘Friday Night’ Stamp. To the right is my journaling about the evening and I added a digital stamp from the Story kit. In the middle of the left hand page I used a card from the Story kit and a photo of myself as I want to try and include more photos of myself in my project life this year. The bottom two pockets are a photo of Andy, with a chipboard piece from the Story Kit, and to the right some journaling using another card from the kit.
On the right hand page I created a journaling card with one of the digital versions of the die cut hearts that came with the Story Kit, which I recoloured. To the right is a photo of me looking through family photos (the one on top is my Mum & me as a baby) and I added some more kraft paper that I stamped with ‘collection of memories’. In the middle of the page I included a photo I took later in the week, as the colours were amazing, and added a chipboard piece. To the right I used another digital stamp from the stamp set to make a journaling card. The final pocket is a digital card from the Heart Story Kit. The digital kit also included grey word labels and I used two, plus a kraft word label from the Cheer Story Kit, to personalise the card.
