Today’s project life spread covers one day in March and uses the Wild Story Kit from Ali Edwards. I’d sort of thought that the photos from this day would be good for the wild story theme but at that point the kit hadn’t been released, so I had no idea what it would look like. When the kit was released I was delighted to see that the colours, as well as the theme, were going to be a great match.
The story behind the day was that we’d decided to have a day off from DIY and get out explore parts of Norfolk. I love the sea and wanted to go there to start as it always helps recharge my batteries. So we started at a place called Happisburgh and walked around. Later we moved along the coast before heading inland to the Broads, which are a series of lakes and wetlands.
I mostly used the digital version of the kit but I also used a few embellishments from my stash. Starting on the left hand page I used one of the 4x6 cards but covered part of the design so I had some space to add some journaling along with a chipboard piece. In the middle two pockets I created a journal card using a stamp from the kit. The final pocket is another 4x6 card that I added one of my photos to the top part of the card.
On the right hand page I printed out one of the chipboard embellishments and used pop dots to give it some extra dimension when I added it to my photo. I used another 3x4 journal card and again added some extra white space to add journaling. On the final photo I added another printed chipboard piece and again used pop dots along with a little chipboard star from my stash.
