Today I’m sharing one of the projects I created for Ali Edwards Design Team using the digital Day in the Life mini kit. We had family over for a weekend in May and the kit was perfect for documenting what we got up to on the Saturday.
I started by picking out the photos I wanted to include. Then I picked out the cards from the kit that matched the times of the photos, then wrote and added my journaling. Also in photoshop I picked out some of the logo stickers that came in the kit and recoloured them black to tie in with the simple black & white design of the cards. I also moved the logo off centre as I knew that I wanted to add them as semi-circles to my photos and not as full circles. Then I resized them to 1 inch to match my 1 inch circle punch.
Once everything was printed I punched out my logo stickers and added them to my photos, then trimmed of the excess to make them semi-circles. Next I ticked the am/pm boxes on the journaling cards and then picked the two filler cards I wanted to use from the kit.
Finally I wanted to add some embellishments to the spread. For the first one I used multiple stamps to make the dated rectangle label. First I started with a rectangle label stamp from a past Studio Calico class stamp set. Next was the dotted pattern from the same stamp set. Then I used the roller stamp Ali released this year. And finally the small documented stamp is from a past Kelly Purkey stamp set. Then I added a gold chipboard star and on the other filler card I simply added the black & gold 'Today' chipboard piece.
