Today I’m sharing a project life spread I created using the digital Adventure Journal cards Ali Edwards released in July. The colours of two of the cards from the set were a great match for photos from a day trip we took to the coast.
Starting on the left page I took the Ready, Set, Go card that was a 3x4 card and expanded it to a 4x6 card and edited it a little to leave space underneath to add some alphas after it was printed. The alphas I added from a past Kelly Purkey kit. I really like the slightly skinny style of the alphas that come with her kits and have been using them a lot recently.
In the middle two pockets I included a photo and a filler card from Studio Calico. I’ve used this card before and think I will use it again in the future as I love the colours and texture. To add some more interest this ‘currently’ acrylic piece from Color Cast Designs that I have been hoarding for some time.
In the bottom pocket was another photo and another filler card. The card is from the digital DITL kit which I recoloured from black to blue. I then used stamps from a past story kit to stamp on the ‘you’ and ‘me’.
On the right page I used a 4x6 photo in the top pocket. I’d wanted to stamp on the photo but it went hideously wrong! So to salvage the photo I covered up my mistake with a stamped label and a brass star from the Believe story kit. In the middle pockets is another photo and another of the Adventure journal cards, which I used to add my journaling for the spread. In the bottom pocket I used another 4x6 photo. I added a sticker from a past Studio Calico kit and stamped the date using the roller stamp from Ali Edwards.
