Today I’m sharing my last project from my time on Ali Edwards Creative Team! My last assignment was to use the Review Story kit to make a project. I’m sure it’s no coincidence that the theme Review was released at the end of the year as it works perfectly with looking back over the past year.
Last year I created a photo grid for my highlights of 2015 and I decided to do the same again this year, as there is something satisfying about seeing photos representing your whole year all on one page. And it helps give you some perspective on it all.
I found 2016 to be a tough year. Some great things happened but so did some not so great things, and I got to the end of the year feeling pretty frazzled by it all. But when I came to pick out my photos for my grid I found that I needed more than one photo a month to capture what had happened. And I was glad to see that despite some tough times I’d captured lots of good moments .
I kept my photo grid super simple as I wanted the photos to be the main focus. I used a 6x12 template from Ali Edwards but removed the text elements. I then added and clipped my photos to the template, three photos for each month. Then used the digital version of the puffy stickers from the Review Story kit, recoloured them grey, and added one to each row to show which month the photos related to.
Like last year I also wrote a review of the year and put it in the vellum envelope to keep it a bit more private. And made my own embellishment by combining the messy drawn stamp from the Paislee Press December Daily stamp and one of the digital stamps from the Review Story Kit, then added an enamel dot to add a little colour.
