Like last year I’m not sticking to rigid periods for my Project Life album. I rarely create a spread that is for a set week and tend to record what we did over a weekend or a day out somewhere. Today’s spread just covers the one day when we took a trip to the coast to see the Grey Seals.
I’ve used the Wild Story Kit quite a lot already and used it again for this spread. I keep coming back to it as it’s perfect for documenting days out in the countryside. I kept the colours in the spread neutral so not to compete with the moody colours in the photos from the day.
On the left side I used two photos and added some embellishments, plus used one of the cards from the Wild Story Kit as a filler card. In the bottom pocket I used a photo template with two photos from the day. Both were a bit grainy so worked better as smaller black & white photos. And I like that the template adds in some extra white space to break things up a bit.
I knew I wanted to include a large photo in this spread. A full 6x12 photo wasn’t an option as the photo I wanted to use had been taken as a horizontal photo and not vertical and I would have lost too much of the photo cropping it. So I went for 6x8 instead and used the 4x6 pocket above to add my journaling for the day.
Supplies: Wild Story Kit from Ali Edwards, bits & pieces from previous Story Kits and my stash.
